Visa Types

 

(i) Student Visa

The validity of this visa may be one (1) year, renewable.

 

(ii) Residence Visa

The validity of this visa may be one (1) year, renewable.

 

(iii) Visitor Visa

The validity of this visa can be six (6) months maximum.

 

(iv) Single / Multiple Entry Business Visa

The business visa must be used within sixty (60) days from the date of issue;

Allows its holder to stay in Mozambican territory for a period of thirty (30) days, extendable to ninety (90);

It can be for a single entry or multiple entries;

It does not allow its holder to obtain a residence and work permit;

It entitles its holder to dedicate itself, exclusively, to the exercise of the activity that determined the granting of the visa.

 

(v) Work Visa

The work visa must be used within sixty (60) days from the date of issue;

Allows its holder to remain in Mozambican territory, for the period of validity of the employment contract;

It grants its holder the right of temporary residence in Mozambique;

Allows multiple entries;

Its validity varies between thirty (30) days until the end of the employment contract.

 

(vi) Single / Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

The tourist visa must be used within sixty (60) days from the date of issue;

It can be single-entry or multiple-entry;

It is expressly prohibited to use the tourist visa file to carry out remunerated activities in Mozambique.

 

(vii) Visa for Investment Activity

The Investment Activity visa must be used within sixty (60) days from the date of issue;

Allows its holder to remain in Mozambican territory, for a period of two (2) years, which may be extended, for equal periods of time, as long as the reasons justifying its concession persist;

It grants its holder the right of temporary residence in Mozambique, upon request authorized by the Immigration Services of Mozambique (SENAMI).

Allows multiple entries.

 

(viii) Visa for Sports or Cultural Activities

The visa for Sports or Cultural Activities must be used within sixty (60) days from the date of issue;

It is valid for a single entry and allows an extendable stay for a maximum period of ninety (90) days;

It does not allow its holder to obtain a residence and work permit.

 

(ix) Temporary Stay Visa

The Temporary Stay visa must be used within sixty (60) days from the date of issue;

Allows its holder multiple entries;

Permanence for a period of one (1) year, renewable successively, until the end of the grounds that determined its granting;

It does not entitle its holder to obtain a residence permit in Mozambique.

 

(x) Crew Transshipment Visa

The Crew Transshipment visa is granted to foreign citizens by the Immigration services, at sea or air crossing points, and allows the transfer of the crew member from one ship to another, from one aircraft to another or from a ship to an aircraft and vice-versa. versa.

 

NB: The Crew Transshipment visa is not issued at the Embassies and Consulates of the Republic of Mozambique;
Allows its holder a stay not exceeding seventy-two (72) hours;
It does not allow its holder to obtain a residence permit in Mozambique.
